It’s no secret that Amazon has some really amazing things to use within the classroom. If you’re new to teaching it can be hard to sift through the never ending list of things that you “must” have, and determine what will actually make things easier for you. That right there is exactly how I decide what to use inside of my own classroom. If it doesn’t help make my job easier, I don’t want it.
That being said… here are a few things that make my life EASIER!
- A Doorbell: I have been teaching for eight years and I did not have a doorbell until the start of year seven. YEAR SEVEN! I went six full years without one, and I wish I would have gotten one earlier. A doorbell is the easiest form of classroom management, in my opinion. They are loud enough for all students to hear, even when they are all talking and working in groups, which means you do not have to raise your voice to get their attention. For only $15 you can save your voice and get the attention of your entire class. Here is the one that I use in my own classroom –> LINK #ad
- Task Card Organizer: I have actually found two uses for this organization system. I use it to store task cards for all of my math units and I loved it so much that I bought a second to store my class coupons. There are 16 different compartments and they are the perfect size to store task cards, post cards, class economy money or coupons. I use the rainbow version linked HERE #ad
- Personal Laminator: I have used my own laminator every single year of teaching and cannot recommend them enough. I am fortunate enough to have a large laminator at my school, but as far as classroom decor, or things that I want laminated in a thicker quality, I prefer to do it myself. They last for years and are perfect for small jobs like laminating name tags and labels. Here is the laminator I use in my classroom as well as the laminating sheets. #ad
